Treasure Math Activity Cards

This self-pacing program was designed to challenge children to think about numbers and ways to mentally group them together to form a chain. These chains or "trails" on the TREASURE MATH cards are what guide the child to the answer or "treasure".

Eleven cards are grouped together in a set. There are six sets available in the original TREASURE MATH series, beginning with Set 1 which asks students to mentally add together numbers less than five on a 3 x 3 grid. Sets get more difficult as students progress, asking them to mentally add or subtract larger numbers.
Some sets combine addition and subtraction, encouraging students to look closely at symbols on each of the cards in order to find the correct "trail". MORE TREASURE MATH challenges children to work with numbers on a 4 x 4 grid and at a higher level of difficulty.

As students work on solving each of the maps, they use colored bingo chips or other manipulatives to try to solve the mystery of each of the cards. After they discover the "trail", they record the trail they discover on the enclosed answer sheet.

Each set contains 11 TREASURE MATH cards, a student recording sheet blackline master, and an answer key. Lamination is recommended for durability. Colored bingo chips are not included... but can be ordered separately.
